Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC), local producers of Coca-Cola and Dasani products, is entering the holiday season with the spirit of giving in hopes of spreading the real magic of the yuletide.
To commence the most wonderful time of the year, CBC kicked off the season on Thanksgiving Day with a donation of over 15,000 beverages across New Providence. The cases of Coca-Cola, Dasani and more were donated to fifteen feeding programs, assisted living facilities and children’s homes; including Pat’s Senior Citizens Home, Persis Rodgers Home for the Aged, Great Commissions Ministries, the Salvation Army, Bahamas Feeding Network, and the Bahamas Emergency Children’s Hostel.
“We are major supporters of the important work these charities do and felt lead to thank them for their service through an in-kind-donation,” Marketing Director Jonathan Thronebury said.
The season of giving will continue into December, as CBC’s offices in New Providence, Grand Bahama and Turks and Caicos partners with their local Salvation Army operations to bring holiday cheer to nearly 200 children.
The children, who are a part of the Salvation Army’s current meal and school programs, will enjoy a holiday lunch and gifts courtesy of CBC and its philanthropic compliment of staff. The company will also support its annual toy drive and luncheon for GarvinTynes Primary School.
As CBC rolls out ‘The World Needs More Santas” Coca-Cola's Christmas campaign, they are searching for one “community Santa” to reward with a $1,000 cash prize to before Christmas. The public is being asked to nominate someone they believe to be the ‘Santa’ in their community.
In no more than 100 words, describe how this person is positively impacting those around them and why they deserve to win. Nominations are currently open and close Sunday, December 15th at 11:59 P.M. Nomination entries will be submitted through CBC’s website or on their Facebook page.
