It's officially the holiday season and the Caribbean Bottling Company (Bahamas) Ltd. is spreading some holiday cheer around the entire country. Coca-Cola will be giving away $10,000 in cash & prizes starting Nov. 9 to shoppers and a number of hard working essential 'heroes'. The company will also continue its ongoing community outreach efforts, which have included a donation of nearly 10,000 cases of beverages to local outreach groups, charities, and food banks.
Customers who purchase either one (1) 6 pack of cans, two (2) 2-Ltr bottles or two (2) 20oz bottles of any Coca-Cola Bahamas product at any supermarket or convenience store between November 9th – December 18th will be eligible to win one of ten $500 Gift Certificates for the Ultimate Christmas Feast, as well as other weekly prizes, inclusive of gift certificates, and free beverages for a year. CBC Depot customers who purchase 5 cases or more of any Coca-Cola beverage will also be eligible to enter.
In an effort to adhere to social distancing and health guidelines, CBC welcomes customers to submit their entries digitally. Eligible customers simply need to send proof of purchase via a photo of their receipt to the Caribbean Bottling Company WhatsApp number (242-814-0372), along with their name and number to enter.
Coca-Cola Bahamas will also be saying 'thank you' to some very hard working essential 'heroes' this Christmas. From Nov. 9 until Dec. 18, the general public can visit the Caribbean Bottling Company social media pages to nominate someone who has gone above and beyond for their communities, their customers, and those in need. And, each week, a different recipient will be chosen to receive a gift of $250.
CBC's ongoing community efforts will also continue, this Christmas. Since early March, Bahamians around the entire country have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. And, as the nation continues to grapple with the virus, the Caribbean Bottling Company has remained committed to supporting communities and providing assistance to a number of relief groups. To date, CBC has donated over $130,000 in beverages to charitable organizations, food distribution centers, and outreach programs, and remains committed to providing additional support in the future.
"This holiday season is like no other" noted Nikia Wells, CBC Communications Marketing Manager. "2020 has been a very challenging year for men and women around the entire country. We wanted to do something special for our customers, in addition to recognizing many of the unsung heroes, who are working diligently behind the scenes. We are in the process of putting up holiday store displays and getting ready to introduce our annual, limited edition holiday Coca-Cola packaging, but more importantly we wanted to spread a bit of Christmas cheer and joy."
