The Junior Accountant will perform key accounting tasks, including: bank reconciliations, monthly financial evaluations, and inventory counts.
Task & Responsibilities
Prepare daily bank reconciliations
Perform intercompany reconciliations for TCI & CWS
Monthly valuation of Turks & Caicos Inventory
Monthly inventory count of full goods, BIB & crates
Monthly posting of fixed assets depreciation, equipment amortization and prepaid/accrued expenses for Nassau/TCI
Process and enter journal entries for Sage 100
Assist with month end, quarterly and year end internal and external reporting as required, including management reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, etc.
Prepare ad hoc reports as needed
Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Competency
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or three (3) years’ experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Skills/Requirements
Sound understanding of accounting principles
Strong data entry and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
