Schweppes Keeps Bahamas Poker Run Boaters Hydrated Throughout Exuma Cays!

Kelly Sands, Bahamas Poker Run Organizer; and Nikia Wells, CBC Marketing Manager - Communications

Hundreds of boaters took part in the third annual Bahamas Poker Run. The Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC) was the proud non-alcoholic beverage sponsor of the event, and kept participants hydrated as they made their way through the northern Exuma Cays.

The full-day event featured participants from throughout the Bahamas and Florida. Each vessel took part in a boating convoy, with the aim to collect playing cards for an opportunity to win prizes.

The Poker Run event culminated with a private beach party that included live music, food and Schweppes beverages. Each participant was also gifted with a Schweppes Poker Run keepsake tumbler.

Each year, the Bahamas Poker Run organization also raises funding for the Bahamas National Trust’s Exuma Cays Land & Sea Parks. This year, the organization will once again make a donation to used towards the parks’ management and upkeep.

“The Bahamas Poker Run is always an amazing event, and the CBC team was happy to be back on board as a beverage sponsor with our Schweppes line of mixers” noted Nikia Wells, CBC Marketing Manager – Communications. “In addition to being a fun time for everyone involved, the Bahamas Poker Run team also raises funding for the BNT Parks and their ongoing efforts to help preserve the breathtaking beauty of the Exuma Cays. For these reasons, we were excited to, once again, support the event.”
