Caribbean Bottling Company Kept Athletes Hydrated at Annual Triathlon with Powerade & Dasani

Powerade once again kept athletes hydrated and energized at BAARK!’s (Bahamas Alliance for Animal Rights & Kindness) sixth annual Powerade Potcakeman Triathlon event. The Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC) returned as the proud title sponsor for the fifth consecutive year, and provided athletes with Dasani water and Powerade, throughout the Apr. 15 race.

The Powerade Potcakeman Triathlon is one of the largest triathlon events in the Bahamas. Over 200 athletes, from around the world, swam, biked, and ran during the event, which raised funding for BAARK!’s animal education and spay/neuter programs, in the Bahamas.

The CBC team cheered on the triathletes and handed out Powerade and Dasani to the event’s participants and supporters. “BAARK! helps hundreds of animals, each year, through their work and education initiatives,” noted Nikia Wells, CBC Marketing Manager- Communications. “The CBC team is extremely proud to support their mission. This year’s Potcakeman event was amazing, and we had a great time keeping all of the athletes hydrated.”

The Potcakeman Triathlon is a huge undertaking for BAARK, and the event’s organizers noted that they are extremely grateful for the support of businesses like the Caribbean Bottling Company.

“We are delighted to have Powerade as our presenting sponsors for the fifth consecutive year at the Potcakeman Triathlon,” noted Sarah Kennedy, Potcakeman Event Director. “Their ongoing financial commitment has helped tremendously with the growth of the event over the years. Our athletes really enjoyed having both Powerade and Dasani available for all their rehydration needs during and after the race."
